Skyline PTA Needs You!!

Why Join the PTA?

 ·         Our feeder schools (Elementary & Middle) have a historically met the goal of 100% membership – help Skyline continue this tradition!
·         Joining the school PTA means you become a member of the state and national PTA.
·         Membership numbers help when lobbying the government for funding. Membership Matters!
·         Your membership is important.  You stay informed and have a voice at the school, state and national level.
·         Becoming a member supports the partnership between home and school.
·         Not everyone is interested in being an active participant in the school or educational issues (politics), being a PTA member helps support those who ARE active.
·         PTAs support and speak on behalf of the children.  Your membership helps ‘create a louder voice’.
·         Members get a school directory- a great tool for your kids to call a classmate regarding homework and help parents stay connected to other families!
·         Be informed about what is happening at the school. Email is secure and used for school and state PTA information only.

 Why “Pass the Hat” on top of joining PTA? To support the many programs that your child enjoys and to support the fabulous staff!

You are not asked to sell coupon books, candy, magazines, or fundraise for PTA. 
 PTA membership fees are not a fundraiser, this money is for dues that are sent to the state PTA (which then sends a portion of the dues to the National PTA).
  Skyline PTA funds support school/teacher grants, scholarships, emergency supplies, and supplements various clubs.

To meet Skyline’s PTA budget goal, a $75 Pass the Hat donation is suggested. This is in addition to the $25 membership fee (this money covers dues to state and national PTA- and does NOT go to Skyline PTA).  See the Membership form for various donation levels, ALL donations are appreciated. 

Your $25 Membership is for up to 2 people, and 1 directory.

Skyline High School PTSA is a non-profit member organization dedicated to supporting the SHS community.

Looking for ways to get involved?  We’re excited to have you! We currently have the following committee chairs open:

·         Staff Appreciation

·         Grant Committee

·         Service Learning Fair

 

You don’t have to be a chair to volunteer.  We also need volunteers to support our committees. Look over our volunteer opportunities and sign up for what interests you.  Please print this form to volunteer - Volunteer form.
